Prasad, who asked Trivikram to write the dialogues for the climax scene of the movie he was working on at that time. Gowtham Raju introduced Trivikram to T.D.V. Trivikram had no plans to write film dialogues but instead had an interest in directing films. He then joined Posani Krishna Murali as a writing assistant and worked in several films. Actor Gautam Raju, a close friend of Sunil, also helped Trivirkram in getting opportunities in the industry. Trivikram met writer Kommanapalli Ganapathi Rao and on his suggestion, published his short story "Road" in Andhra Jyothi, a leading Telugu Weekly. In 2002, Trivikram married Soujanya, niece of Telugu lyricist Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry. As of 2016, Trivikram maintains the room by paying rent as a memory. They, along with director Gunasekhar, stayed together as roommates in Punjagutta neighbourhood during their struggling days. Actor Sunil and Trivikram were friends since their days in Bhimavaram. Later, he moved to Hyderabad to pursue a career in films, while earning by taking tuition for children. Trivikram also worked as a teacher in a school, teaching Maths and Science. He then, attained master's degree in Nuclear physics from Andhra University as a gold medalist. College in Bhimavaram and graduated with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) from DNR College, Bhimavaram. Trivikram Srinivas was born as Akella Naga Srinivasa Sarma in a Telugu speaking family on 7 November 1971 in Bhimavaram, West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh.

His debut directorial Telugu film Nuvve Nuvve (2002) has garnered the Nandi Award for Best Feature Film (Silver). In 2000, he wrote dialogues for Nuvve Kavali, which won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu for that year. He has garnered seven State Nandi Awards, two Filmfare Awards South, and a SIIMA Award. Trivikram's craft is known for its high dose of comedy, fast-paced repartee, farcical situations, escapist themes courtship, family and marriage.
